Once years ago when my boyfriend at the time and I were in an accident I found a several part layout in Look magazine about the brain. This was back in the early 80s I believe. I found it fascinating then and now I can only believe they have learned a lot more than they knew then. So when I found this bit of info I will share below I wasn't surprised. Everything you learn something new, regulate stress, have a meaningful conversation, get deep and consistent sleep, pick up a musical instrument, and show playful curiosity you are firing up networks across the brain and are keeping yourself mentally sharp and emotionally steady as you age. Neuroplasticity is the brains lifelong ability to reorganize, adapt, and change its structure and functions by forming new neural pathways. Amazing!

Quite great! Yet once we get into arguments, debates, brain seems to stop working or starts working too much.

I find it interesting that even simple things like having a good conversation or learning something new can help keep our minds active. It also makes me wonder how much more scientists will discover in the next 20 or 30 years.
