The sheer nerve of some teenagers

I wrote last week about 3 members of the Baking Club raiding my snacks and sitting back in my prep room on the couch talking. 2 of the 3 are former students of mine who know better than to mess with me.
There has been a boy who comes into my classroom every morning before school to talk to his friends. I didn't mind. I spend from 7-7:15am standing out in the halls with other teachers talking and supervising.
I waited about a minute after the bell rang this morning before going into my room. All of a sudden the prep room door burst open and this random kid walks out. I was shocked. I was like "what do you think you are doing? Why are you in my prep room?" I asked him 3 times and all I could get was "I have to go".
I have no clue who this kid is. I called the main office and asked them to have safety review the camera footage to see who walked out of my room after the bell. I wound up having to go down to their office to point out the specific student. I watched the security guy scroll through all of the cameras and I was shocked. Apparently we have over 140 of them in the building!
Anyway I showed the guy which kid it was and he said he was going to work on tracking him down. I didn't hear anything today but I will follow up with safety tomorrow. It is a science prep room. There isn't anything particularly dangerous in there (aside from my snacks and Keurig) but the kid doesn't know that. It is shared between biology and anatomy & physiology classes so there could be chemicals, scalpels, pins, etc. in there. I'm glad there aren't.

Glad you followed up and got to the bottom of it. Who knows what the H. he could be doing in there?
