A Witchy Halloween Delight

In 1993 Disney created a Halloween classic which is a lot of fun to watch to get away from the monsters and slashers but it does have witches the film is “Hocus Pocus” It is a delightful witchy tale about three wicked witches Winifred (Bette Midler), Sarah Sanderson (Sarah Jessica Parker), and Mary Sanderson (Kathy Najimy). These witches were waiting to be resurrected once a black candle is lit by a virgin and along comes the teenage boy Max Dennison (Omri Katz) and does just that and puts his friends and his little sister  Dani Dennison (Thora Birch) in danger with the witches ready to take on the kids in Salem, Massachusetts on Halloween night. There is a Hocus Pocus 2 and expected to have a third film but I am happy with the original and like to watch it this time of the year. I just love hearing Bette Midler singing “I Put a Spell on You”.
