If only the arrival had gone as well as our departure from the ship. Leaving was easy as pie, and very quick. Right now, my dad, stepmom, and myself are at the airport. About 5 1/2 hours before our flight, with no earlier flights to be had. We’ll get back to Dallas, then drive hime. Around 10pm we’ll be in our own beds. Mindy and her family drove, and they’ll get home Tuesday. They have some fun stops to make along the way. The wheelchairs at the airport have been indispensable.

Long time to wait I hope your flight is on time. Too bad Norfolk is a few hours from here or I would pop over and say Hi.

Life can slow down now for the day for you just a little. A good time to regroup with your Dad and Diana, and reflect on the awesome trip that you all just enjoyed. I hope that this last leg (or two) of your journey is just as easy. Annabelle will be thrilled to see you, and I know that you will be to see her.

Did I tell you Naomi sent some pictures of Sadie playing around? She had been depressed, but it looks like she perked up a little in the last couple of days.

@AmbiePam No you didn't, but I am happy that she is happier, just imagine how she'll be when she sees you. Naomi is such a great friend to take her as she did, probably knowing that she was going to get a bit depressed, which really, just shows what an awesome and fun person you are!

Five and a half hours at the airport sounds rough but the wheelchairs being a lifesaver is such a good detail... glad that part worked out. Gon' be a long day but your own bed by 10 is the finish line, hang in there. Hope the drive from Dallas goes smooth, ttyl.

I’m glad you got to go and have a great time. Now, if the airlines will only take care of all the stuff the lost. (Meanwhile, in Tokyo, your dad’s CPAP machine is sitting, unclaimed….)

Never mind …you might be delayed but at least you are together …. Getting home and being in your own bed will feel wonderful.

Yes, they kick you off the ship pretty early on departure day.
