Obsessed crazy woman number two.
In 1992 the psychological thriller “The Hand that Rocks the Cradle” came out with Rebecca de Mornay portraying Peyton Bartell/Mrs. Mott. It all begins when a Seattle housewife, Claire Bartel (Annabella Sciorra), changes obstetricians and finds her new one, Dr. Victor Mott (John de Lancie), guilty of sexual misconduct. She officially reports him and other women step forward. Dr. Mott does not take his lovely young pregnant wife into consideration and opts out by committing suicide. His wife looses the house and the baby.
She discovers that the reason for all her sorrow is Claire Bartel and is ready to seek revenge. She becomes one scary nanny plotting to get rid of Claire and get her husband, Matt Bartel (Matt McCoy), to love her and make their children hers. She befriends their little daughter, Emma, telling the child that she can tell her all her secrets and takes over as nanny and secret nursemaid to the newborn baby Joey. No one knows her true identity, and things go from bad to worse. This is an on-your-edge suspenseful movie with lots of chills and thrills,

One of my favourite films ….i remember going to see this at the pictures with two friends ….we were all trained Nursery Nurses ( now called Teaching Assistants ). Part of our training was nannying . Two out of the three of us had worked as a Nanny.
