There’s Childlike and then There’s Childish

I’ve always been somewhat childlike. I smile all the time. I am easily delighted with simple things. I am expressive. I can be a little bit of silly for fun. I still gaze at beautiful things in awe and wonder. I still have a childlike curiosity. Someone I know ( @ambiepam you’ll know who I’m talking about) is older than me and still very childish. This person uses potty humor. This person makes loud noises like an elephant or other things in public when people walk by just to be annoying. This person, when a restaurant server brings food to the table yells out, “Mine! Mine!” They think they’re funny. They’re not. I like that the innocent part of me hasn’t grown up. I wish the other person would grow up

I would hate being in a restaurant with that person who yells out "mine, mine" and would be so embarrassed. I agree that those people really need to grow up and acting like that is really not acceptable and certainly not funny.

There are some people you want desperately to have some self-awareness, and they just won’t.

Huge difference between childish and childlike. Childish people are so immature! Childlike are those who enjoy simple things in life the way kids do.

The "Mine! Mine!" when the server brings the food made me cringe... dat is just embarassing for everyone at the table. Staying childlike like you do sounds way more fun than being so cringey.
