Maybe not such a silly idea after all!

A couple of days ago @AmbiePam reported going to a class on towel folding. I scoffed at this – who would have time for such a thing? And I certainly wouldn’t buy a book on the subject, if I wanted to do it I could probably look on YouTube.
To back up my point I looked on YouTube and sure enough there were several videos there, including from a person apparently called Citra Shayma who seemed to make some that were not too difficult. And then I thought that perhaps it would be a fun thing to do for guests.
I mentioned it to Little One and she wanted to have a go, so after laughing at the very idea of such a silly occupation, Little One and I ended up spending an hour or so yesterday evening turning towels into a crab, a bear, a stingray, a jellyfish, a turtle and a swan. I admit that the crab did look rather like a sweet wrapper and my bear looked more like a tardigrade (Little One’s was much better!) but the whole thing was hilarious!
So sorry I scoffed @AmbiePam, it was actually a lot of fun!

I’m sure it was a fun way to spend time with Little One …..but it’s not my thing.
If we get towel art in hotels the first thing I do is shake out the ‘ thing ‘ and put the towels in the bathroom …..as folk STILL put towels on beds … !

I did wonder. Some people love the cute idea and personal attention - but on the other hand it means someone has been rubbing their hands all over your clean towel!
I've never come across towel art before @AmbiePam's post. Maybe we just don't stay in posh enough hotels!

It could be fun. Especially with kids

I would be much like you but maybe I should have a go too. We had folded towels when we stayed in Luxor. And, for a very short while, Vin and I would fold the corners of toilet roll whenever we installed a new one. But we soon got sick of it.
