I have been listening to the "Dark House" podcast on Amazon Echo Show. It talks about various houses with dark and spooky pasts. Most were or are considered to be haunted. The podcasters sound like valley girls and are a bit annoying, but the podcast is well researched..and interesting. I have heard at least 3 of them this afternoon. I did my steps today and am comfy on the couch. I want to make a cup of tea .but don't want to get up

I didn’t particularly want to go anywhere today, but I had the things I was going to review sent to my dad’s house while I was gone, and he called me this morning and told me to come get my stuff…today. 
While I’m here, I figured I might as well do laundry. Hopefully, I’ll be able to get my dog tomorrow. I miss that munchkin.

I think they are common enough especially in houses that have seen traumatic pasts. I mean humans are made of energy, and ghosts are just trapped energy. Some kind of traumatic passing or event may keep them trapped here in this world. One near here that I have been too is a house near Culpeper which at times housed both Union and Confederate Civil War troops. The soldiers wrote on the walls in there. I am not sure that it is documented..but at night the people familiar with the place say you can hear soldiers whispering.

@snowy22315 - The owners of that house that I mentioned, were very rich farmers who had many workers. They hosted cruel parties where at the end they killed two young servants, a boy and a girl. I am sure there were spirits in that house. I could feel something disturbing just passing in front of it.
