THE Music Moment

Okay, it’s not the biggest musical moment, but performers of all genres vie to get this opportunity each year. What is it? The halftime show of the Super Bowl on February 14, 2027. Half the people don’t watch the Super Bowl for the game; just for the ads businesses go to the most trouble to make, or the halftime show.
Jay Z is the half time show for the upcoming Super Bowl. I’m not crazy about the choice. But we’ve had Coldplay, Snoop Dogg, Katy Perry, Madonna, and even The Who! Although Prince was most legendary. Beyonce did it one year, and I imagine she’ll pop up with Jay Z’s appearance too.
Whether you watch American football or not, what musical act would tempt you to catch it? A lot of people want Taylor Swift, but people say as long as her husband has a chance to be in it, she won’t perform (this is Travis Kelce’s last year playing).

Prince was the best. I liked the Dr. Dre show, and I thought Bad Bunny was pretty good.

For me, It don't matter who would perform because I appreciate the art of visual music also this is a great opportunity for any artist to showcase their roster of success and how they mashup all of their hits in one spectacle of a performance. I also heard that artist who play at the halftime show are not really getting paid much but they do it in honor of their music.

They don’t get paid much because the bump they get from performing is indescribable. The sales of their music after the Super Bowl is off the charts. I know if it were me I better be getting a bump in my music if I’m not getting paid much for the performance!
Because you’re on to something with doing things for honor of their music.

The one that stands out in my mind the most is the performance by Prince.
A song of his came on the radio on the weekend when we were in the car, and I told my hubby that it is such a terrible waste of life and talent that a voice, such musical talent, was taken so senselessly and early.

Prince definitely was the best. I thought Bad Bunny's performance last year was incredible. (shocker, right?) I thought Madonna's and Rhianna's shows sucked. I remember really liking the Black Eyed Peas years ago even though their performance was ranked as one of the worst.

If someone played I did want to see, I still wouldn't watch that game or halftime show. Just get the clip on You Tube.

Oh brother...people would like the show alot more if they picked somebody that is wildly popular like Garth Brooks, (although maybe with the current drama surrounding him not the best choices) or Bon Jovi..or somebody most people like. I couldn't tell you one song by JayZ. Why do they feel the need to cater to minority audiences? No one liked the Bad Bunny show last year..
