A bit bittersweet.

A few days ago I bought a battery-powered lawn mower from Walmart. I'm sure I told you about this already. George and I are expecting it to arrive by tomorrow, according to Walmart's website. We have two other lawn mowers, both gass powered, one with power assist. George told me to take one of the mowers to the curb, so, when we got home, before George parked the van in the garage, I pulled out our oldest (and first ) mower. The one without power assist. It is. kind of sad that I had to do that, because it was our first mower, and we got a lot of good years out of it. But, the fact I managed to do it, shows that I should be able to move a mower if it came down to it, and for a while, I think I will. Depends on what George decides to do. But, we can't rely on other people's [promises or schedules. This morning, we got a text from Vision one and it told us George's eye glasses were in, so we went to pick them up. Then we went to Walmart. One of the ways we could go (and did this time) was around the airport. George got to see two planes take off and one land while we drove around it. I am glad to see George so happy, and we got everything we needed and then some.

I think it's rather easy to be a bit sentimental when a piece of machinery has done us good service.

@kaylachan .......I have some laptops too. My grandson can't get rid of anything. He's like my mom. She was a hoarder from the Depression era.

@celticeagle Yeah. If it runs, that's not a bad thing. Plus knowing how to work both Windows and Mac are a good skill to have.

Yeah. I know what you mean. I also think it's hard to let things go, when you're raised to use them until they can't be used anymore. I still have laptops that won't work anymore. And, I've gotten rid of a few, too. Laptops I find a bit harder because of their batteries.
