I Missed It!

Yes, I sure did. I happened to be in Anaheim, California in 1963 visiting family and was excitedly waiting for the next day when we were planning to visit Disneyland. I was 12 and what should happen, but I started that monthly thing that happens to woman about that time in their lives. Why, you might ask..... I was watching a YouTube video about changes coming to Disneyland recently. It seems that employee's hourly wage is not keeping up with inflation. That's not all. The cost of going to Disneyland at the very least is about $3,000 to $5,000 per person for a 4-day trip there. It can cost 10s of thousands of $$ to stay at a resort hotel, pay all the extras. No perks much anymore. Not like there used to be. The place is not getting the big crowds like it used to either. Ever since 2020 the yearly count of visitors has gone down. Now it looks like a ghost town compared to what it used to be. Special rides have been torn down and new ones put up and things just aren't the same. It isn't the Disneyland we used to know. How sad.

It is truly sad how going there has now become a luxury and is now limited to the upper class of the society.

And even those folks are having issues. Can't get into fine restaurants or enjoy many perks.
