Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 53 degrees F and sunny here at the Jersey Shore. Ugh. The windows are closed and the heat is going to have to go back on. I was up a couple of times during the night but was able to go back to sleep. I finally got up at like 10:30am which was delightful. Waking up at 5am during the week sucks. My cats Adso and Claire were passed out on the bed with me. Claire has followed me out here but Adso looks like he is dead on the bed. No big plans for the day. I've just got the usual cleaning chores to do. I want to make some bread and butter pickles and some applesauce. Fine with me. I'm off to a slow start today anyway. It is Halloween and in this town it is the regular day for trick or treat but I don't buy candy because no one comes all the way up here and honestly I can't be bothered with it. There were several kids who knocked when I first moved here but they've aged out and most people go to the ginormous Halloween parade in the next town over anyway. So that's something I don't need to deal with. What's everyone else up to today?
