Who am I kidding? Everybody saw this one coming. I am not that unpredictable. When he showed up on the Hollywood list I warned you he’d be on the L.A. list, too. And here he is, where he belongs, at the top of my list of favorite songs referencing Los Angeles. #1: Desperadoes Under the Eaves -Warren Zevon You know, there is a video that’s over 30 minutes long on YouTube that dives into why this song is a masterpiece. Bah. I’ve never watched it. I can listen to this song six times in 30 minutes and enjoys the brilliance for myself. I got this album three days after I bought Excitable Boy in January 1978. When I heard this song, the last one on the album, I knew I was going to be a Warren Zevon fan for life. And I was, and I am. And remember, except in dreams, you’re never really free. Thanks for reading. Desperadoes Under the Eaves Written by Warren Zevon Recorded by Warren Zevon From Warren Zevon, 1976 L.A. LYRICS: All the salty margaritas in Los Angeles, I’m gonna drink ‘em up

Today being Halloween you can guess what I heard on the radio: Werewolves of London.

I think “Roland” is a better ghost story. But I know your favorite song on the album, just because of who sang back-up on it.

Part of those lyrics might actually come true, just look what all the Pacific ocean Hurricanes have done to the west coast not to mention NM of all places.

I mentioned how do I a lot of those river beds are out west. It doesn’t take much rain to flood out there.

Actually it's because the ground around our deserts are usually rock hard and the water can't soak in so of course we end up with rivers @FourWalls I've heard that Elephant Butte is full for once, that hasn't happened in decades.
