Tonight young people celebrate Halloween. I say "young people" because when I was young, this was All Saints Day. And we went to the cemetery with flores and my grandmother prayed while I looked around.
For me, Halloween is as imported as Mac Donalds or Dunkin´ Donuts. It started with my grandchildren and for a while it was nice. I bought candy and talked to little goblins and fairies who came with their parents.
But after some time, the holiday was taken by half drunken teens who expected money or else. I have had to hide from youngsters throwing eggs at me or, if they were nicer, saying all sorts of bad words.
So now I turn off the lights and don´t buy candy. I am away and the house is closed. If they make too much noise, Luna barks, but she is not near the fence either. I don´t know what mean people can do.
Happy Halloween for those who live in a better world.

The small children are very nice. It is the teens (not all of them either) that aren´t. So now I hide.

My neighborhood does not celebrate Halloween anymore for a long time for unknown reasons.

Halloween with kids and trick or treating is really an American thing.

Tomorrow we celebrate All Saints Day and Monday November 2nd is All Souls Days. That is the day we visited our deceased ones at the cemetery. My husband is here with me inside a beautiful Urn, no need to go to the cemetery.
I am not going to open my door, but I am sure no one will show up here.
