The Mister does like a clean car ….
There used to be a really good car wash connected to a local garage. We were regulars there.
Then the garage part closed. so the car wash had to go too.
It recently opened up as a hand car wash …this morning The Mister thought he would give it a try.
Basic was £5….
Double wash and rinse …
Very good.
The car is all sparkly and shiny again….
Do you use a car wash or do you wash your car yourself ?

My husband will do a spit and polish himself on our SUV, he also does a great job on the windows, and every aspect of the interior.
A couple of times a year we will take it to get detailed. You do not stay in the car for the process, depending on the package you buy, they do your mats, all of the interior, they have about 5 or 6 men inside of it working on their own space, and when it is done being washed on the outside, those men all buff and shine it until it sparkles. It only takes about 20 or 30 minutes but it isn't cheap, so we only get it done a couple of times a year.

That sounds really good. And very thorough too.

@Traceyjayne The only downfall is that once we had someone wiping down the information screen, and the car was running, so they changed alot of settings, which meant sensors went off and my hubs had to reset all of them, which was very time consuming.

That sounds like a good price. The ones around here have all raised their rates.

I let the rain wash my car.
Now, if I trekked through a mess, I’d go get a car wash, most definitely. However, my vehicle rarely gets that dirty, and since I’m trying to save money, I just let it be. My stepmom gets hers washed, which I never understood because hers is less dirty than mine, and mine isn’t even close to dirty! She must love that shine.

When i used to drive an auto many years ago, I would take my auto to a gasoline station and get a car wash.

What’s the touchless car wash ? Is that just the rain ?

@Traceyjayne It’s a proper drive- through car wash but there aren’t any brushes or flappy things smacking against your car. Many times those car wash brushes/bristles can scratch your car so we have touchless bays here where it’s just water and foam and no brushes.
