I wonder how often this happens? People were talking today on Nextdoor about several police squad cars being in front of the fire station/ rescue squad in small community about half an hour south of here, and asking what it was all about. I guess they didn't get too close of a look, because someone told them that a vehicle had run into the station. Apparently there was a lot of damage. Someone else told them that the same thing had happened in the other town a bit north of here several years back. I think I remember that actually. I mean..how drunk do you have to be to run into a fire station...they usually sit back a bit from the street? It may have been an elderly person though or someone having a medical emergency. I hope it wasn't deliberate. Have you heard of this happening?

Gee that does sound like someone was either drunk and lost control or had a medical emergency, Aside from the damage I hope no one was hurt,

I don't think so. It might be on the news...but I kind of doubt it

I remember when my BIL’s father had a medical emergency and drove straight into a Burger King. I mean, just messed up that store badly. Thankfully, no one was hurt, and he got medical attention and lived for another five years.

Yeah, that kind of thing can happen unfortunately. My dad had an emergency when he was making deliveries for a bank at one time. He didn't run into anything though. He could feel himself getting woozy and slowed way down. I don't remember the exact circumstances, but the police were called and he ended up in the hospital..but they couldn't find anything wrong with him. I think he was just tired and dehydrated. He was probably about 75 at the time.

It really seems odd that it happened to two fire stations...not that far apart in the span of 10-15 years..

No, but in this day and age I would suspect it being deliberate.

There are few agressive sociopaths in this area. It is quite low crime. I would lean more toward an accident of some type. However, who knows? I hope nobody was in there at the time.

i think i remember somethin like that happening near me too... those stations sit back so far that it has to be a medical thing or just plain bonkers driving imo
