Why Am I Hearing Hammering At 9 PM?

It’s 9 pm. It’s pitch black dark outside thanks to daylight savings time. We should really be called daylight ceiling time..
I just heard two rounds of hammering. Why would someone be hanging pictures or otherwise hammering at 9 PM??
We live in a patio home, which is similar to a condominium, but they’re bigger and they’re just one floor. There is a unit both attached to us on the left as well as on the right and I can’t tell from which side the sound is coming..
Do you hear much noise from your neighbors or in your neighborhood?

My neighbors are mostly fairly quiet, with the exception of the lady commonly referred to by most as “the loud lady that plays loud rap music “” and one fellow who does live across from me and drives a big motorcycle. He comes home about midnight from work, but he tones it down when he hits the complex. I raised a house full of kids, one motorcycle doesn’t really faze me.
