You all probably forgot I existed by now. It's been an exciting couple of months.
First, I finished the fourth edition of Scarred. I won't be publishing the fourth edition until I can get the new ISBNs for it. So, next year, which is only a couple of months away now.
This year has really gone fast. Remember New Year's Day. I said don't blink it will be the first again, and here we are in the holiday season.
Second, every November is National Novel Writing Month and I have been writing. The goal is to write 50K words in 30 days. I've participated many times. I have several books that have come out of that challenge. One is about to be finished and become an actual novel - Patriot Dreams.
Last month I started brainstorming a new novel I found the idea for on OneNote. That idea is four years old. It saw the light when I bought a new mini computer and found old OneNotes that surfaced. The computer went back to Amazon. They sent me a Windows 10 which was no match for what I needed. However, Bachelor for Hire has found the light of day.
Now the goal for November Novel Writing Month is to write 1667 words per day to make 50K in 30 days. Today is November 6. I should have 10,002 words. Instead, I just crossed the halfway point with 25,635 words.
So now you know why you haven't seen me. I've done that much in six days. I expect I'll cross the 50K line in another six days. The story is basically writing itself.
Now, before you think that a title like Bachelor for Hire is a romance, remember, I don't write romances. This is a mystery. And a pretty good one too. It involves an ex-Navy Master-at-Arms and his dog. The story takes place in Alaska.
That's all I'm going to give you. I'm hoping to have at least 100K by the end of the month.
Other than that, not much has been going on. I'm still going to the chiropractor every couple of weeks, and this month, I finally have my eye appointment. I will get new glasses. These are two years old and have outlived their usefulness.
What have you been up to? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. Yes, I have my tree up and decorated.
