My electric blanket bit the dust last night. Sigh. It was acting up before but I managed to right it, this time it will not be resuciatated. Anyway, I have decided I am going to try to an electric mattress pad. Has anyone here used one? They are supposed to last longer than a blanket. Besides my bed could probably use a bit of extra padding. Crawling in on a nice warm mattress pad at night sounds really good. Another dead electric blanket.

I'm sorry your electric blanket bit the dust. I hope the electric mattress pad works longer.

It says they are supposed to last longer, and also they cost less.Kohls has them for good prices.

@just4him If it doesn't work, and I wouldn't buy one less than 4 stars I can always go back to blankets.

We have an electric blanket that we sleep on. It feels great to get in bed. Never tried the mattress pads

They are very reasonably priced at Kohls.

Hopefully, you can find a good deal on electric mattress pad. I don’t think it would work for me (if I had a mattress) because I need to be able to throw something off if it’s too hot for me. Will you wait until Black Friday to make a purchase?

No, I found some reasonably priced ones on Kohls. That is the other thing they cost less than the blankets.

It is too bad that the electric blanket is not longer working. In my Dad's final year, he was always cold. My mother bought a heated mattress pad for their bed to try to provide him a bit of comfort. It worked wonderfully. She used it after he passed away too and liked it. I hope that they still make them as good as they did way back then.

I remember that a couple of weeks ago you feared it did not work. You were right, it was dying.
