I wish there was a nicer way to do this, but I am fed up

So, as I have mentioned on here before the closest grocery store here unless you count the Dollar General market is Food Lion. Food Lion is a good clean basic store, and I usually like them, however, this particular store that they have out at the lake is always running out of things. It makes me crazy. This is particularly the case if you go on a weekend like I unwisely chose to do yesterday. I am making a cauliflower Mac and cheese today..and was at the FL to get the cauliflower..and of course they didn't have it, only some expensive frozen stuff. I bought one bag of that, and figured I would use the riced cauliflower I had in the freezer with it, not ideal..but will make do. Also they had English muffins two for one..and they were all picked over, I got one cinnamon and raisin. Then my fave zero calorie choc pudding was down to the last one. The time before that really got me. I really wanted an angel food cake and they were of course, you guessed it out. I am going to complain to the store headquarters about this store...as it is a repeated problem I am tired of dealing with. I could talk to the manager face to face, but I hate confrontation. Sigh! Does your store ever run out of things on a regular basis?

I have tried homemade pop tarts before but I didn't like them. I would hate to put all the effort in to making something and then dislike them either cuz I screwed up, (likely) or they just didn't taste as good.

We had a store like that where I grew up, but not around here now. That other store was the worst. They finally went out of business, and it was a long time coming. They had even started putting stickers over expiration dates on the few items they did have in stock.

I feel your pain, that is super annoying when we try to support a store but they don't offer what we want.
There are only 2 chains here that price match.
One of them has full service and no frill service stores.
I was at the no frills yesterday and wanted to price match the 18-pack of eggs from the high end store, but, as usual, they cleared all of their 18 packs of eggs off of the shelves. So you had to go to the higher priced store or buy just a dozen at almost the same price. Me, I went to the higher priced store as there were a couple of other items that I wanted that they didn't stock.

These stores don't seem to do a good job of anticipating customer demand. I mean they aren't mind readers, but when it doubt stock more than you need. Better to have a few extra than angry customers.

Yes, it makes me upset. I think the best day to shop there is probably Wednesday after their truck has come in and they are unloaded. Their trucks are a big deal if they have a truck come in...I have heard them call for all hands on deck to unload it.

The angel food cake being out again is what would push me over the edge, you really did plan around it... i feel like complaining to headquarters is the smart move, bc a manager face to face never fixes anything anyway. Totally relatable, that store is straight up bamboozling you.

I have noticed that empty shelves and out of stock becoming more and more commonplace at stores. It's like they only want you to order online.

I think a lot of people use those in store shoppers too, which probably depletes a lot of the stock before you ever get in the store. This store really needs to order more to have on the shelves though, especially if they know an item is going to be popular...like say the English muffins. Lots buy those and stock up if they are low in price.
