science says that man is one of the smartest mammal on earth. If so,then why does he keep on repeating his mistakes and the mistakes by its ancestors?

We keep repeating the mistakes of our ancestors because each new generation thinks it knows more than its ancestors, and has no interest in learning from the past.

heard the famous saying .. to err is human... so mistakes would be repeated sometimes deliberately, unknowingly, cos of overconfidence..loss of attention etc... there r plenty of cases...

Because of overconfidence. We claim that we are the smartest, but we don't think about our past. Dinos ruled the world for so many years and today we have not a single one there. We must think we are not powerful than the nature.

Each generation is better than the next; strictly according to that generation.

That's a good point you make, it's not all humans that are fools some of them learn from their mistakes others don't.
