Do you have a good local bus service? we do they run every twenty min to the local town. They stop at every bus stop so you can get anywhere fast. A lot of places have a bus once a week I think that needs sorting out. What do you think?

Our bus service here in Vienna austria is very nice. we have bus trips at least every 5 minutes in main streets. Plus we can see the time like when the bus hsould be arriving and the expected travel time.

Well, if I actually go into town then the service isn't too bad because there are two different main companies and quite a lot of different services, well, all but one service is run by the same company. Where I live though which is not near the town, although there are 4 different bus routes, they are really not very good. They are all run by the same company and because they have a monopoly, it doesn't really matter to them if they're any good. To go to the nearest town costs twice as much as to go to the nearest city because there is only one company which serves my town to the next but they have competition from here to the next city. The distance isn't very different. The prices are so high to get to a lot of places which is the main thing I have a problem with. It wouldn't be so bad if the service ever improved but they are quite willing to put the prices up regularly without improving the service. Our main service is Stagecoach and they are the absolute worst here. You can guarantee that the only time a bus isn't late is when you are, the bus drivers aren't too bad but most are grumpy. I'm sure several have been sacked for gross misconduct in the past few years.

And I forgot to mention, if I need to get home before about 7pm, I have an extra walk because the bus doesn't do the same route after that and also, the buses during the day, well between 6.30am and 6.30pm are approximately every 20 minutes, with the odd exeption of the buses around 3 or 4 o'clock when they often just don't bother turning up. After 6.30pm, the buses get less and less frequent. Some of the later buses are over an hour apart. I suppose that's better than some places. The last bus round here from here to anywhere is about 10pm and the last one getting back is about 10.30pm

That is bad,so not only you have a bad bus service you have to put up with Grummpy drivers and high price ticket? Nasty lot? When they have to get a bus one day they might reflect on the price! We pay £2.50p for a day ticket and you can use it as many times you want to in that day its not bad.

That's good. We can get something like that but only for one way between my town and the next city. To go the other way or any further, it costs at least twice that. If I lived a few miles up the road, I'd be able to use a different bus company which has some really good deals especially for family tickets!

I've never ridden a bus, but I know people who do. In San Antonio, Texas, the bus system is apparently very convenient and runs often.

I don't like buses I prefer to drive I don't like riding with strangers on the bus. I live in the city of Ohio and I would not catch the bus. yes the busses run on scheldule, every 15 mins which is good.
