What is your main inspiration to write poems?

Are you a poet trying to find inspiration in anything and everything to let those words flow? What makes you grab that pen and start scribbling away till you produce a masterpiece? A lot of things inspire me..feelings,emotions,people,nature and just about anything. Write in!

I won't consider myself a full-pledged poet coz I only get to grab those poetic words and stuffs when am in love or depressed for just falling out of love...lol well, the last time I wrote a poem was a couple of days before teh valentines..I made one for my boyfriend and he liked it so much. I had it printed with our picture as the background and I also had it framed. Then I wrapped it for a valentines present... And I love the feeling that he and even his parents appreciate it... :)

There are times when inspiration dawns on me at the oddest of places and times though... like when I'm asleep... believe it or not I can write poetry and songs in my sleep and I have to wake up and write them down or something so I don't forget them by the morning... and then there are times when I'm inspired sitting atop my 'throne' ;) ha ha...

Hehe..I've experienced this too! In the middle of the night I get 4 lines and I have to write it down immediately.

I just love to write poems . sometimes it's months between them , If I am emotional about something it just comes into my head , It is my way of expressing how I feel in my heart xx

I draw inspiration from my own life and my circumstances most of the time. I write from my heart about something that I'm going through, something that I've experienced or something that I've observed... without inspiration I think it would only be a rhyme that doesn't make sense...

I am a poet and I find my inspiration from my faith, my emotions and nature around me. If I am in a writing slump I still write something to keep the thoughts coming or working out in my head. I leave it then come back later and I'm more inspired.

I have never understoo the concept of inspiration. I feel you dont get inspired by one person but so many things touch yu to the core and All your life's experiences make you write wht yopu write. I always write when something really touches my heart and is really tearing me apart.

Usually my emotions inspire me to write poems. I actually wrote a poem once about writer's block. It's quite funny. Sometimes I will be in the shower an a phrase will just come to me. I say it over and over again and realize there is a poem in there and immediately go to write it.

i do like writing, anything, poems, diary, whatever i could think of. i find pain - whether mine or other's- motivates me to write. a dying dog, flood victims, a mother in agony for her missing child ,etc,it is also a good stress reliever.

nothing as such. i write when some thought comes to my mind. it could be a general life sitaution, a relation or some experiecne either good or bad.. and even i beleive that you really do not need a reason to write a poem.

It really depends on what's going on around me. I am easily inspired. Depending on what mood I am in, words just flow like water. There are times when I would be in deep sleep and just wake up writing. But I must say that my main sources of inspiration are my boyfriend and little sister. They don't know this, but whenever I think of them...it's hard to control my pen.

For me i am driven to write by an mind that is constantly thinking and dreaming in rhyme, and prose. I take in everything around me, from the sweet smell of the sir as the seasons change to the horrors the stalk us in our daily lives. I find inspiration in everything. I am compelled to write it down so i don't lose the feeling. I also write to keep my mind sharp and stimulated, I am one of those people who loves to be around others but has the occasional anti-social moment. Writing is my release my escape for my over active imagination. It is my utopia.

I am always writing something...I am used to writing as soon as I feel the words coming to my mouth and my heart..I mean I jot thoughts down as they come and use everything...a napkin.a piece of paper...my mobile, now.. I usually have a notes with me where I write the emotions the world create inside of me...this is the way I write... I write under the dictation of an emotion..bad or good emotions..world is often touching me in some way...there is anything that can pass without leaving a trace...my poems or thoughts are the steps life makes into my soul...
