My son started sleeping through the night at 4 months of age and I really hope the new baby does the same if not sooner! LOL! We did have to sleep train our son again last month (he is 2 1/2) since he had been waking up & getting out of bed for a few months at that point and none of us were getting much sleep....now he is back to 11 hours of sleep a night without waking up.

The first one slept through the night after about 3 months. The second one - 3 years! She was a handful. I hear 3 times the charm. No, I'm not having any more children. I'm too old and really wouldn't want to start all over again.

Well, my 3 year old is actually 10 now. I do have a theory that was brought to my attention. Her bedroom was painted yellow. Yellow is a warm, active colour, creativity colour. Bedrooms should be cool and calming colours in order for people to sleep better. Perhaps I should paint MY bedroom blue.

I think that I was very lucky when my daughter was a baby. She would sleep through the night starting at about 2 mths old. My brothers little boy just started sleeping through the night at 8 mths old. I have a few friends who's kids still get up at the age of 1.

Hey there. My son was probably about 2 or 3 months before he started sleeping through the night. There was a time when he was teething that he would would up maybe once during the night for a bottle... But lately his dad puts him to sleep and I usually feed him lots of baby food before bedtime...so I think that holds him over... Our son is 11 months old and he'll sleep 10-12 hours a night! :)

My son slept through the night from the first day we came home. I put him down around 9 pm and he would get up around 5 which was when I had to get up to my hubby's lunch anyways. I guess I lucked out. But then again I would put a half teaspoon of cereal in his last bottle of the night. My mom told me to do that if you want them to sleep for longer periods. I LOVE her for that!

you are the luckiest by far then! :-) that is so awesome, and i am really gonna pray that my new baby is like yours was. :-)) that is a huge stretch of sleep for a newborn. most moms of newborns i know are up every hour or so. call me selfish, but i need my sleep too much to deal with that kind of deprivation well....plus i have a toddler to care for....can you imagine taking care of a 2 year old & a newborn on no sleep. ouch!

I think that both of our kids started sleeping though the night at about three months. With the oldest, it was like pulling teeth, many nights staying away while he learned to calm himself to sleep. He is now 4, and with in the last couple of months he has been waking up in the middle of the night saying that he is scared. Hopefully you won't have to go through that.

Oh gosh, my daughter was 2 months and she REALLY slept through the night but my son was around 6 months before he really slept through. I am so glad my kids are past all of that.
