Dr. House - a phenomenal tv show that has captivated America with this British actor that also was in Stuart Little and Flight of the Phoenix (along with his natural accent)
This season has been frustrating for me... am so tired of that cop I wish the mafia that House helped would take care of that situation. I too would like to see an improvement for his mobility however that too would alter House and we fell in love with him as he is.

I think they are getting away from the medical side of the show a little too much. But, at the same time, if they don't add twists like this, the show will get stale pretty quick.

yeah, I agree. It just seems like they are putting the characters at odd with each other. Also, lately House has just been cruel. Before he wasn't always nice and didn't play well with others. But he wasn't cruel, imo.

I'm not sure anymore either. I think this whole cop business is strange. The cop is as big a jerk and bully as House is, maybe more. I would actually like to see things for House get better, like when the season started. I was happy that he was able to run and use his legs w/o pain. I would like to see more of that, such as him getting totally off his meds.

I'm not sure how I feel about this storyline. It's definitely interesting, and House's character and his responses to things are as always fascinating. But it's a bit difficult to watch where it's going, and to see him repeatedly show such little respect for Wilson. I guess I still have to commend the writers of this show, because even though I may not be enjoying this storyline, I couldn't stop watching this show if I tried.

I agree, his treatment of Wilson, his best friend, is appalling. House has always been an obnoxious, self-serving jerk, but this is way worse than that.

I just started watching this show unfortuneately, I didn't even know it existed until about a month ago. Then again, I don't watch much tv at all. So my question to you all, is how did it used to be? I'm captivated by the 4-5 episodes I've had time to see, and I'm afraid I don't know much about the cop ordeal either.. can someone please explain that to me too? I loved the episode recently where is explained the problem with his leg and he was teaching a class to med students.

Yes, the episode about his leg was the one that got me hooked onto this show. I think they ought to do more like those. Basically, the show is a medical mystery. House is a genious doctor who knew he was the best. He was arrogant, a total jerk, and addict, and often said what was off the top of his head w/o thinking of others feelings. He often doesn't follow the rules, nor does he seem to care, and often gets into trouble. But, the reason why I liked the show is that it is a mystery. We are all trying to figure out what House is trying to cure. He goes through a lot of trial and error to find what it is. There was also something going on about his personal life that defined his character, but it wasn't the real focus of the show. This whole cop issue adds too much tension and change to the situation and I feel that they are getting off the mystery part of the show and into more of the personal problems of House.

I'd watched most of the episodes before I saw the one about how his leg got hurt. Anyhow, I really liked the show until the cop thing. The previews for tomorrow night's show say he'll have to either do 2 months rehab or else he'll have to go to jail. Which will he pick? Any thoughts?

I'm finding it fascinating. For me, the main attraction is House himself. It's painful to watch him in such denial about his problem, but it's still very interesting to watch. There's also the fact that he does need some pain management, so how do they juggle his need for that with his addiction? As long as the character of House stays interesting, I'm there. Right now, I can't imagine Gregory House not being interesting. Frustrating, wonderful, compelling, aggravating (although I always find him sympathetic), but never boring.

I wonder how the cop would be able to make House go to rehab, or even offer him that chance? He's not a judge or a prosecutor, so he really can't be making deals. He would be a DA's nightmare. Prosecutors don't like it when a cop gets so involved in a case. They like it when cops gather the evidence legally and cleanly and then they take over the case.

Yeah, I agree. I'm worried that House is going to turn into a jerk. I don't like everyone fighting, the shows all sad now. I think they're carrying on with this whole cop thing too long, I hate it when shows do that. I like it when they start a fresh story everytime, you know what I mean? You know, have the same stuff going on and whatnot, but not have each episode based around the same thing. I hope they end this soon!!! Though I am interested to see how it turns out. I think the whole cop and addiction thing is about to end though...then maybe House will be House again!!! But yeah, it's a stellar show!

house - house
I still love it. The whole cop thing is getting on mynerves but I guess he'll get out of that somehow. I think there have been a lot of his funny comments still going on this season.

Your right! House isn't house anymore.. I am not sure that when I turn it on, but I will be that impressed anymore... I used to really like this show, but he is getting trashed now... and no I don't like where he's going. The writer of this show most be on Valium himself this season...
