I have seen the movie and it was simply wonderful. I would love to actually get a chance to see it as a play. I've heard the play version is a lot better then movie.

It was and is the greatest play ever. I first say it when I was in 8th grade...MANY years ago. I have seen it 8 times and would go see it again and again. I couldn't wait for the movie to come out. Though I loved it, the movie could have been better. They should have had Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford (original Christine and Phantom) in there somewhere, obviously not playing their former roles, but in the movie. They made the play just as much as Andrew Lloyd Webber did. I also did not like that Carlotta's role was lip synced, rather annoying!

I saw it on stage & while I knew it was flawed I still enjoyed it. However I HATED the movie. I thought it was awful. Just so poorly acted & directed. I wanted my money back when it was over! :(

this movie is my fav. ever, i wonder why you hate it? the story is so intense, phantom's feeling to Christine, and Raul & Christine's love to each other, but oh! it's your opinion, perhaps you just don't get it. so i suggest, how 'bout try to see it again? mine is i think Anne Hathaway gives her best shot in the play, and it seems she's best fit of the character, and it's well directed too",) oh, this is my opinion.

It is one of my favoriate movies....I really love it... the music, the passion, the soul... everything... it was a beautiful movie that i watch constantly! I cannot get enough of it! I am going to see the play on Broadway this summer!

Sadly I don't like the movie
I prefer the musical (stage) version
The movie ruined all feelings I have for Phantom
It was a shame the movie wasn't made in 1990 with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman.
They are truly talented stars. Just go to Youtube and watch their performace on the Tony Award 1988, then you may share the same opinion with me :)

I saw the 2004 movie and saw one of the Broadway productions. It was, I think, in 2003. Loved both!! Both the Broadway production and the movie were well done and the actors did an amazing in their performances. I couldn't help but being captivated by the Broadway version as well as the movie version.

I adored the movie, normally I'm not that into musicals..but this one was just so abjectly beautiful..in sound, scenerey, characers..and the plot was tinged with darkness despite being a romance.
All in all, the movie was awesome.

I highly recommend seeing this movie, it was brilliantly done, and the music is so captivating. From start to finish I give it thumbs up all the way. It is one of my top ten favorite movies.

I love the movie, very nice. In sleep he sangs to meeee, keeps on singing in my head. I like phantom's voice. The Phantom of the Opera is there inside your mind!! Christine, I love you... I like the songs really. Very artistic

I saw it on televison and it was phenomenal . I loved it and the music was fantastic. I have some of the songs on my computer so can listen to them whenever I like. I would have liked to have seen it over just once. What a great opera.
