I had a disscussion with a christian uncle of mine conserning prayer and God. I belive that there is only one God, you can call God by any name, but it is still God(a rose is a rose is a rose). So he says that since I don't use jesus's name when I pray that I'm praying to Lucifer. Now I know I'll get tons of lecture type material about the "truth" but do you really think that if I have the intention to pray to God but don't use a particular name, the prayer direction changes and Lucifer's "phone rings"?
I'm not confused about this matter I'm curios as to what reponces I'll recive.
please don't preach to me, I'll never be your convert trophy

I think God knows your heart and He knows you are not praying to lucifer. That is ridiculous to me that he would say that. He is being totally religious. It is all about your relationship with God not how colorful your prayer is. So keep on praying!

I'm with you. It doesn't matter what name you use when you pray or how you say or conduct your prayers. It's all going to the same place. And I really don't think God cares what people call him/her anyway. I think God's kind of got more important concerns than what name people use to pray with.
