body? I can never find clothes to fit me. I am 5'1 and all my jeans come way past my feet. I don't even think about buying skirts because they are just way too long. This is so aggrivating. Even petite clothes don't fit right. They think if your short you have no curves. Does anyone know a place that caters to short curvy women?

I know what you mean. I am 5'10" and I have a little more to love. I can not find anythng to fit me. A friend of mine is 5'1" and she can't find jeans to fit. I can't find a shirt that is long enough. I drives us nuts. The fashion industry need to rethink what they are doing. I don't know anyone that is perfect.

That is so true. I never thought about tall people not being able to find clothes long enough. I guess we are all at the mercy of the fashion industry. Thanks for your response and good luck maybe someone will give a good sight to check out.

Im right there with ya. I am 5 foot. Jeans have become alittle bit easier to find due to the fact there are so many different kinds out there. I do find that Old Navy or Gap jeans fit me the best and cater to the petite but they are hard to find. SKIRTS forget about it unless you want to shop in the girls department!!

Get yourself a good tailor who knows how to alter the jeans and skirts.Actually they make it long as it is possible to cut anything short but cannot elongate it.

I am 5'5 and I also cant find jeans that are short enough. I seldom check the petite section, because they are not fitting right also. I usually try to wear the jeans with boots that will take away the length of the jean.

I am only 5'1" and have the exact same problem I have to do one of two things....I have to buy my jeans from department stores that carry brand that make short length. Or I have to hem them myslef when I get home. (Pain in the butt!!) 2 brands that fit well and are perfect in length are Arizona and LEI. You can find those at Mervyn's, Kohl's, and JCPenney's for great sale prices!! I think I picked mine up for about 20 a pair a couple years ago and they are still in great shape. I have bought cute jeans from Wal-Mart and K-Mart, but they are all made for the standard size 5'6" woman. I hate shopping for jeans!! LOL

i find it very irritating that fashion is normally tries to be restricted tyo a chosen few, who have the perfect chissled bodies. why dont designers care for people other than teh models. i am short heighted and cant find much on offer for me when i decide to pick up some designer clothing

I have the same problem. I am 5'3" and pants and jeans are always long and they are made for women with pint thin thighs. The only jeans that seem to fit me well are Banana Republic jeans because they are roomier in the hip and thigh area and because they comein different lengths. It is very frustrating! i also have a short torso and a lot fo times dresses and tops don't fit very well because they are cut for women with super long torsos. It's ridiculous because the average woman is not 6'! They are the one who should be having trouble finding clothes that fit.
