Most of us remember the 80's - hair bands, pop rock, bubble gum rock, The Breakfast Club, and all things totally cool! If you enjoyed the 80's, share it here. What was your favorite thing about the 80's?
I will name a few of my favorite 80's stuff:
The Care Bears
Madonna
The movies "Space Camp"
Motley Crue and other hair bands...
Guys with long hair that wore their makeup well
Atari
and many other things.....
I think the music of the 80's decade was the best!
(Yes, I am getting old...I was just sitting here reflecting things of my past as today is my Birthday. I just turned 30 and started thinking about all the different things that have come and gone in my lifetime...that is when the 80's crossed my mind...lol)

Michael Jackson's Thriller album and all the songs on it was probably my favorite. Kids who see Michael Jackson today just can't imagine what a statement he made back in the '80s. He was truly a genius in both music and dance before he changed his face and got so wierd.

hi,by asking once you made me to go to my youth memoris in 80's.....i was in college enjoying with HIPPY STYLES of hair, BELL BOTTOM fashion to pants...big size collors..spectacles..colorful shades in clothes WOW.i can't forget those days...

I really loved the 80's. It's hard to say what my favorite thing about the 80's is so I guess I will be like you and make a list.
I got my drivers license
I graduated High School
the music, of course
going to the roller skating rink
the carefree attitude people had
big hair
Jessie's Girl
the Breakfast Club
switching from beta to vhs
Cagney and Lacey
going to the arcade
rubik cube
leg warmers
cabbage patch dolls
gag me with a spoon
Dungeons & Dragons
I could just go on and on. It truly was a magnificent decade and I loved being being a teenager in it.
Thanks for this discussion because it brought back a lot of good memories.

Ah yes, the 80's. I remember the good old days. Yeah, Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, even Michael Jackson LOL. Oh and the Cabbage Patch dolls, the jelly shoes, the crimped hair which I am waiting for to make a come back because I want to use that crimper again! Things were also so much simpler back then! Oh and.. Happy Birthday.

The begining of Boy bands too!
fun stuff like the leg warmers, big sweaters, and tight jeans, as well as the movies! DIRTY DANCING! and the shorts! Had to have those jean shorts!

I LOVE Valley Girl! Ever since then I have always loved Nicolas Cage -no matter how old he gets, I will always seem him as Randy. I always love the music to that movie. Big hair is another one, lots of make and way too much hair spray. Lot's of colored hair spray too when I would go to football games or dances. I think 90210 and Melrose also started near the end of the 80's which are two great shows.

God, I didn't even grew up in the 80s (born in 1987) but I can still name my favorites. I love the 80s.

My favorite thing about the 80's was being born. Yep you can't beat that. Also there was my wonderful kindergaden teacher. I remember being in a school play about the alphabet.
