My mom was diagnosed with heart ailment and been given a lot of medicine and many instruction, not to eat this and that...that I am afraid will later bring her paranoia and forget to eat right amount and nutritious foods.
What could be the most practical thing to do for her to avoid any heart attack?
My mom is 61 and widow, living with another single sister. I hope you could help me.

sorry to hear that my dear but regular exercise, positive mindset and healthy diet are the best things to consider. I agree with the previous reply, you should research more info available online and get the professional advise or two or three doctors to compare rather than to panic. Nothing bad to follow the doctor if it will help the patient.
God bless!

Be informed about what the medicine is and what it is supposed to do. There are good online references for this, or better yet, talk with the pharmacist who fills the prescription. Also see if you can turn the dietary restriction around--instead of saying Do not eat this, this and this, find out what she SHOULD eat and say, do eat this, this and this. A lot of people when first diagnosed with a serious ailment do panic, for a little while, and then normalize--knowing that they are still the same person, just taking better care of themselves. Good luck to you.

thank you so much for a comprehensive advice, I will do that. That's true panic is oftentimes attached to the problem that worsen the case. Anyway, this will really help, more motivated to research for more details online. Thanks!
