Nowadays, especially in my country, the cellular phones have been very popular thing as if one could not live without them. Can you do away with it?

Why not. I have been using the cell phone for the past 8 years. I am sick of it. Now I keep it because people call me. I do not make call unnecessarily and go on talk endlessly. It is sheet waste of time. Whereas the cell phone 2 decades ago? It all depends on how much importance we attach to this. No doubt this cell brought the world closer, but majority of the population all over the world do not use cell phone.

cell phone - not everyone has a cell phone and not all areas have the capablity, there is still some question as to the safety of this modern convenience or monkey on our back
No cell phone here, so far it is more expensive than my land line. Also being out in the country we do not get a signal. Could only use it in the city or in the right zones. Also people can reach me on my voice mail and then I get back to them when I am home and not driving.

Cell phone - cell
I can and DO! I'm not a huge cell phone fan. I do have a prepay that I take if I'm out and the kids need me or we need to call for an emergency but I just cannot fathom being 'available' at everyone's beck and call with a cell phone strapped to my ear all the time!!! UGH!

Hear hear! I just need to work my way through these feelings I get when I see people that always have a cell up to their ear. As if they are real important or something! Every time I see someone driving with a cell to their ear I think like "hang up the stupid phone and focus on driving your vehicle"!

Yes! In my country, cellular phone is very common, but I can live without it for any problems! It´s rare to use it. I receive more than I call someone... I like to be free!

I could happily live without any phone whatsoever :)) Thank goodness I don't have a cellular phone, besides the land line I have in my house. When it rings I always mutter under my breath! I also don't like to make phone calls, either! So yes, I can definitely go on living without a cell phone :))

I love my cellular phone and I can't stay without it. I feel secure when I go out and I have it, because I can call my family in case of need. I like to send and receive soon sms, my girlfriend always sends sms because they are cheaper than normal calls. It's an umts phone so I do videcalls to her. I found a way to talk for free too :-D and I have much money on one of my sim!

It is really quite hard nowadays to live without a cellular phone. I feel naked and disconnected without a cellular phone because with it, everyone is just an SMS or a call away with the touch of the send button, don't you guys agree?

No I don't. I have never sms anyone. I do that kind of thing on my PC but not with the phone. I hate my cell. If I can just use up all the minutes before I am required to top it up I will drop the service. It is a prepay thing anyway, only costs me $80 a year.

It would be really tough, since it has become a basic necessity of life. The best part of cellphone is that u can reach for help immediately in case of emergencies. But yes, i can live without my cell phone...(am gonna miss calls though)
