is onion veg or nonveg? in some parts of india it is considered as veg.i am a veg.

Onion is definitely veg. However some caste do not eat it particularly the jain. The reason being it is grown underground and it has too much heat in it. Also they stay away from garlic

I FEEL ALL THAT U EAT IS NON VEG AS AN ONION IS CONSIDERED ITS FRM AN LIVING PLANT SO ITS NON VEG ISNT IT .ANYTHING WHICH U EAT IS NON VEG PRACTICALLY.
