Do you think there will be peace all over the world some day?

I think it is hard to believe in this, but there's always the hope that it will happen some day. Do you promote for peace in the world? There are many ways to promote peace in the world but perhaps the best way is to promote it within ourselves. Peace is probably the most important lesson we should learn during our lives and the sooner the better. It seems that in the past, and possibly the present, it has been much easier to "make war" than to "make peace". This is because we have been well trained on how to make war and poorly trained on how to make peace. How can we change this reality and create a peaceful future? Teaching peace is the most obvious way. Helping to reduce poverty, pain, suffering and injustice are other ways. What other ways can you think of?

I don't think there will be peace around the world some day because (some) humans are just like this, we always want more than we have so we need to create wars... if the world is in peace there will be someone that will cause the war because of some reason that sometimes he isn't even sure that exists (like G.W. Bush did with Iraq and mass-distruction weapons that never appeared for example). Even if we try to teach peace worldwide there will be always someone to make a war, so I think that as long as humans exist there will be war between them.

I'd like to think that we can one day (soon) achieve world peace, but I can't see it happening while people aren't willing to accept differences in other races and creeds. The only way I can see it happening is if the world needs to unite against a common enemy - whether mother earth or alien. Sad, but true.

I don't think peace is possible in the future.I think war is human nature, from our ancestors there have been war and domination. Its impossible to accomplish peace. There will always be poverty and injustice and we can't help it.Thats how life works.

I think most people are promoting world peace. There are a lot of schools that have programs in place to teach children to be kind and giving. My children were involved in two programs. One Program was called Show Empathy "put oneself into another's shoes". Another was called NO BULLYING. A lot of American's are dissatisfied with President Bush. Why because he started the war in Iraq. This clearly shows that people haven't been trained to make war. It's not just the Americans who are upset. Many countries are pleased with the war in Iraq.

Yes, there is always the hope, She never leaves us humans. Human being is mixture of good and bad, aggressiveness and quietness, and so on, we are full of contradictions and everything can always happen. We MUST promote peace, we must grow our children with peace, all this is very important and we can and must do it, but human being is too complex and there will be always a reason to fight for something.

I would like to think that there will be world peace one day, but at the same time I doubt it will ever happen or certainly not in my lifetime that is. If you look at history, there have always been wars or people being killed for the sake of someone wanting what the other person has, or worse still in the name of religious beliefs. How to change the situation is not all that easy but a start could be made by helping the poor and needy. Not with money or feed, at least not after an initial period of time. Instead they do need to know how to grow their own food; how to dig for water, so they have a good supply of water for both farming as well as household needs; educate and feed the children and teach them abour hygiene, nurtition as well as how to read and write; encourage the people to make their native crafts which can then be sold to other countries or people. They need not make a fortune of course, but whatever money is made can then be returned to build up the community. Teach the people of poored nations about birth control, taking care of their hygiene and health and all of this will give people some self-worth. When they can look after themselves, are educated and can say what they want, only then they will not necessarily need foreign aid but can be fairly self-sufficient instead. Of course it will all take time, but as it stands now some poorer nations have been receiving foreign aid for a very long time. In the whole scheme of things, spending 10-15 years helping people of the poorer nations become self-suficient is better than what we have been seeing for a lot more years than that. Without helping the population of these nations to help themselves, it will continue and who can be happy if they are hungry, dirty and can see no future. No wonder there are wars.

No, not until the human race go extinct. If you consider any other animal, predators, hunter meat eating animal, no other would kill a prey once its stomach is filled. You can go near a tiger without fear if it already had its lunch, but Humans are different, they kill for no reason, or rather oblique reasons. I don't myself find a reason, why they would change.

It would be really nice , but I don't believe that is something we will ever get to see . We can't even have peace within our families and home life most of the time so I don't see how it is ever possible we will see this all over the world .

I don't know if there will ever be world wide peace. The basic nature of man is power and greed. As long as that is there, someone is going to fight with someone. Belief and having God live within us, is all about love. So if everyone would let Him come into their hearts, then there will be world wide peace.

As much as we would all like to think so, I really don't think any of us will ever see that day. There will always be at least one person out there that is not happen without seeing other suffer. Sad but true. i agree though that I would love to see peace and not war. I can't wait till I make it to Heaven where tere is not war and I will see peace everywhere.
