I was in the mall yesterday, and I spent so many hours trying to find gifts for people. What do men like? Can you share your suggestions with us?

This year most of the men in my family are having nice bottles of after shave and various items of clothing.

Thank you for your response to the discussion. I would like to ask you regarding the men in the family who don't shave, what do you give them? Items of clothing are sometimes hard to choose because some men have different taste in clothing. what do we do about these men for their gifts?

Well, it has been my experience that men like things such as: A travel kit to carry their personals in, watch/watch band (if they already have a watch), gift card to a favorite restaurant. These are just a few. Good luck!

Thank you for your thoughts. I think that I would go for the gift card to a favorite restaurant because I know for a fact that men love to eat. They say that a fastest way to a man's heart is through his stomach. Maybe its just true.

That is not true. The fastest way to a man's heart is through his chest with a sharp knife. lol Sorry, I couldn't resist. I think men are the hardest people to shop for. All my husband ever wants is socks, underwear and jeans. How boring!

Thank you for your response. But its Christmas and I would like to give out even small things to people. Don't you give them anything?

Now that's the thing that is quite hard to give if you don't have much money yourself right? I just can afford small little things for gifts.

I love DVDs to build up my ever growing collection, especially horror, so a nice horror to watch over Christmas would be fantastic. Other gifts I like is Joop aftershave, chocolate and lots of it! Diary's are ideal for men, especially me as I've got a terrible memory especially with dates. Good luck with your gift hunt!

First off, it will depend on the man. Some like to read, get a book of their favorite author. Some like clothes, get them something in that area. Some like to smell good, there are colognes and soaps for them. You can always give a gift certificate or bake or make them something. Or, buy a lovely tree ornamant for their tree.

Who knows? Mine has everything and if he doesn't he goes and buys it. I hate shopping for men unless they specifically ask for something.

I really think it depends on the idividual man. This year I got my husband a 3 carat diamond dog tag with a cool chain and a 10 inch flat screen portable DVD player. On the smaller side:shaving products from a line he loves called "The Art Of Shaving",underwear, clothes, cologne and a few other similar items. My father? A super nice digital camera with lots of extra memory and cologne. My Grandfather? Six or seven Tiger Woods videos,a Best Buy gift certificate and six cases of Boost.(He'll be ninety next year. Plays golf, adores Tiger and loves the energy drink called Boost.)My 7 year old nephew? A seven inch portable DVD player,a bunch of DVD's and a science project "game" in which you make your own volcano.

most men like a good smelling cologne or a sweater or shirt. a giftcard is nice so they can pick out what they like. or how about something for their car.
