MyLot disrespectful of Christians

When I add a tag God it comes out on the entry as lower case. Same with Christianity or Christmas. It is very important for these words to be capitalized because they refer to our Lord. I find it very disrespectful that mylot removes the capitals. What do you think? Is mylot disrespectful to Christians?

All the tags are lower case. Sheesh I can't believe you would actually take the time to post a discussion complaining about capitalisation. WOW I can't believe I bothered to respond to this inane discussion either. If you get upset that the name of your lord isn't capitolised then you really should seek some sort of help because this issue is by far not your biggest one.

Mylot may not be disrespectful, but you certainly are. You should use some manners when you speak to people.

Oh you think that I am without manners because I speak the truth. That is unfortunate. The truth can hurt sometimes and I don't water things down just to be careful with your feelings.

I also feel that way. The name of God should be capitalized or should be in the upper case.It is a sign of regard to Him.

you are just being picky, tags are search tools it searches either or and is not disrespetful just a computer. it does it to every word and letter.

I certainly do not believe that MyLot would be intentionally disrespectful to Christians! It is more an inherent software function than anything else. I am Christian but would not consider myself avid or practising. I have to admit that I too have noticed the lack of a capital "G" for God. I do agree that the word God should start with a capital letter and on the occasions that I have written about God have always written it with a capital letter. Some may consider this as pedantics but I totally agree with you.

I need to very respectfully point something out here. Much of the time when people leave a church it is because they were offended. Christians are notorious for getting offended very easily! Ask any pastor if you do not believe me. It usually turns into a big argument over something minor and then someone leaves the church for another one, or even worse refuses to attend any church. We need to stop being offended so easily. I capitalize those words too, but to tell you the truth I am grateful to have the freedom to type those words, whether they are capitalized or not. There are many places where you could be arrested or worse for simpy mentioning the word Jesus. There are places in the world where people need to hide their bibles(if they can get one)to avoid persecution. I really don't think Jesus would care if the tags are in lower case letters. He just wants us to fellowship with each other in His name.

I am aware that God is spelt with a capital G, but all the tags at Mylot are lower case. The same applies to your interests, where the name of a singer will appear in lower case whether you submit it in capitals or not. This is a common practice and is designed to avoid duplicate keywords caused by having the same tag with capitals and without. There is obviously no intent of disrespect on behalf of Mylot.

I don't think that MyLot is being disrespectful of any group or belief system. You can refer to your god, your lord, and christianity in capitals in the subject matter of your questions but all tags are lower-case - they're not making any kind of "point", and surely if they made an exception for christian-related terms, that would be more disrespectful to those who don't have that belief system. You can't expect special treatment just because you belong to one particular religion.
