If someone just showed up at your door, at this time would you be embarassed to let them in?

I have been cleaning nonstop for the last few days. My house is looking great. I even got the dust bunnies out from under the bed...LOL. If someone wants to come in I would not have a problem. My son will be home in 6.5 hours. Thne it will be a different story...LOL.

Good for you. My house is on the messy side right now. I also have 2 kids who are almost 6 & 7 1/2. They are mini tornados. I am also going to have a baby on Friday so basic chores are painful right now. Add the stress of Christmas to the mix. I have this thing about letting people in my house the way it is though. My mom was the worlds worst housekeeper so any kind of mess rattles me.

I would not be embarrassed because I just cleaned the whole downstairs yesterday. Everything is pretty clean! Now if they wanted to go upstairs I'd be embarrassed because I won't be cleaning that until Monday.

I would be quite embarassed. I live in a small apartment, and have had two extra guests staying with me for almost two weeks during the holidays. There just is not room for everyone, so everything is a huge mess. Normally however, my place is pretty clean. I tend to be a neat freak.

we have three kids and our house is perpetually messy. It's not dirty, just cluttered with toys mostly. I wouldn't not too embarassed to let anyone in -- people who know us know how messy kids can be. but still, I'd like it if it were a lot cleaner.

yes, mortified to say the least, although it isn't horrible by most people's standards.. and my husband would not be embarrassed even if there was trash all over the floor.. (:

At this moment my house is clean. I wouldn't be embarrassed today. I usually clean mine early morn and on days when i feel bad i will just clean the livingroom and kitchen because thats all that can be seen when you come in my home.

My house is about to be really clean. I just hired a maid service for once a month and they are here now. I pick up all the time so it's sort of clean but to get the real mess, I need someone here because my little ones never leave me alone.

Definitely not unless it was an ultimate emergency. My house looks like a hurricane hit it. Actually it looks like the house in Home Alone after Mccully Caulkin hit it.

If i had answered your question an hour ago, yes I would be embarrassed if someone showed up at our door. The lounge and dining area as well as the kitchen has been cleaned since so if they came now, i would be ok with it. I'll just close the doors to our rooms LOL.
