Friends, do you have any pets ? like to have some ? I always wanted to keep a dog but my mom never let me coz its such a big responsibility and she thinks i can barely take care of myself..let alone a dog.. she's right, but i really do love animals and keeping a dog is like a dream! When i was 5/6 yrs old i used to have a dog, parrot and tortoise.. now, i have no pets :( What about you ?

aquarium - a bit of time of setting up and getting it settled it then is an easily tended habitat for fish. They take very little time and can be quite soothing
We have 5 kitties and 3 dogs. They require attention...the dogs more so than the cats. Fish take even less care and that would be my suggestion for a pet for you for now. When you get your own place then you can try to develop a work schedule that would allow for some pet of your choosing. By proving that you are quite well adapted and self tending perhaps in time if you are are living at home you could be surprised.

I have three cats, they came to me, I did not choose them. I have my sister's dogs living with me, she moved to an apartment with her daughter. She will not even come pet or talk to them. They are a lot of work. Walking them is good exercise, but I would like to find them a new home. My neice and sister will never be able to afford a rent house. This has been going on for over a year. When you have a house on your own maybe you will get your dog.

I have 2 midget hamsters. I know most of the people don't consider them as pets but they're my pride and joy :) I'm very attached to them and i know that they are too... it's just so nice to come home and to see their noses raising when they hear your voice.

shes right they are a big responsiblty. and it would not be fair to the animal if you werent there to take care of it. They need someone they can depend on. I have three cats. I am always taking care of them. Maybe some day you will be ready for one.

i agree to your mom..having a pet is really a big responsibility ..its like having an additional family member at home. i am also a pet lover..a year ago i bought a pair of african love birds, hoping it would multiply, but still now, nothings changed..they are still a pair..My excitement turns disappointment, but still, i do take good care of them. And just recently i bought a dog, actually a 2month old chow chow puppy..all the while i thought its just fun and easy having a puppy at home but..NO..its really a big responsibility..coz first you have to deworm him, take him to a vet to have a shot (immunization plus the anti-rabies), you have also to take note of the food that he eats and plus the fact that if he gets sick..of course..you just dont stare ..you have to take him to the vet..GOSH!..my first experience..took me a big surprise or what you call a big dissapointments(again). My dog has a diarrhea..so he was given a medicine and a vitamins also..and pls ask how much i paid for the medicine plus the consultation fee? well..they're more expensive than humans..So now..im asking myself if my decision in having a dog is right..at first , i say yes..coz its fun (for the first time) but when ive experienced the responsibility in taking good care plus the fact of damaging my financial budget..Sometime i think of selling it again or giving it to my relatives..WELL, to cut the story short..my advice to you ..if you want a pet..just be ready for the responsibility and of course ask yourself if you have an alloted budget, just incase.. if problems comes..

have 2 rescued cats. Itty Bitty is a tabby and white cat, and she is the SWEETEST animal you will ever meet. This is a cat that actually WANTS to be hugged. The cutest thing she does is, she has this toy mouse, she will take her toy mouse, hide it under the couch, or behind a chair, then walk away. A few minutes later she will walk by it again, and she will stop, and get excited, like "OH MY GOD A MOUSE" she then pounces on it and starts the whole game over. My other kitty is a siamese mix, her name is Elliot. She is a monster, she is 6 months old, and gets into EVERYTHING. She knocks over glasses of water, and pop, she eats off your plate when your not looking, she opens bags of cat food, and spreads them ALL over the house. But i think the cutest thing is whenever i am writing, she attacks my pencil, then i get a scribble on the paper. And she DOESN"T stop. She is a monster, but i can't help but love her. This was fun, thanks for your question. And i've heard that besenjis are the barkless dog. I've heard that not one of them will ever bark. They are definietly CUTE!

My Pet - And here is the cheeky Monkey sleeping and looking Innocent lol
Yes I do and I have always had Pets I grew up with them and I think there have only been 3 Years in my Life where I did not have one. I have a little Fellow called Gissi and I will be doing his Story in a Blogg soon. I got him out of a Rescue Centre and he is the sweetest, mischievious and cheekiest Dog you have ever come across. I love him to Bits. We don't know his exact Age but the Vet thinks he is about 4 or 5.

Having a pet brings having new responsibilities. A new dog or cat is just like having a new baby. I have 2 bunnies (salt and pepper) and 2 dogs (hershey and snoopy). Perhaps when you have your own place, you can get your own pets.

I have a Cat right now, but we're looking to buy and set up a freshwater fish tank and a Chinese Water Dragon (for my hubby to be!) We got our cat from a rescue Shelter last October and she's absolutely adorable. I wouldn't be without her.
