Tis the day before Chrismas... What are you doing?

well thank goodness I am not working today, I am having family over for Christmas tomorrow & I am now in panic mode, the list has been written & I am working my way through it.
I've emptied the dishwasher
Put a load of washing on,
Still working on the Bathroom (had to take a mylot break)
I'm leaving shopping till this afternoon ( I love those last min Xmas specials & the Xmas crowd lol )
I've threatened to cancel Xmas to get 10 year old to help... Not working.... Any other ideas??

With a name like Ridgydidge I'm guessing you're a fellow Aussie! Today I've been working at the market what with it being the last day before Christmas & people buying last minute presents. I've come home & put my PJ's on and logged on to chill out a bit before we have our tea. That's what I've done today & i'm knackered!

Work SMS & asked for people to come in, hubby threatend divorce if I went in... lol I know I haven't stoped today, tried for an afternoon nap, did not work..Trying to decide what to have for dinner... too hot to cook, & too lazy to cut the big ham... Maybe another Tia Maria & milk would do... lol

It's Christmas Eve here in less than half an hour. I love Christmas! I don't plan on doing anything special Christmas Eve. I'll just stay up all night and start the Christmas Festivities around 4am. If my mom threatened to cancel Christmas I would have done anything she said! I guess she is a little too old for the Santa won't stop here speech.

I'm pretty sure miss 10 is sus on Santa but if she lets on she misses out... kids now days are very cluey lol

Hmmm, for another hour it's still the 23rd here.
Tomorrow(in a couple hours), we'll take a short trip to our local Wal-Mart to pick up a few things we need.
Then, we will do nothing for the next 8 days we have off work.
Time to kick back, relax and chill with some good drink and internet.

I've just come back from Woolworths down the road. I'm so pleased with myself, timed it when they were reducing the sweets & Meats... Is it a saving if you spend more on things because it is 50% or more discounted??? lol

Yay its christmas eve here as well now, but only just. I think i will sleep first and then start preparing for christmas, i get to do the christmas dinner this year, and for 12 people so it should be interesting.
As for getting your 10 year old to help: get a friend to ring up your kid pretending to be santa and tell them that if they do not help then santa will not bring them any presents

I just tell her that Santa sees all & knows all I don't need Santa to ring... She would pick there voice a mile away... lol

I should be wrapping the rest of my gifts but I;m not I;m online hahaha. Maybe I'll just put them in a bag and give them to my family like that.

I know that feeling... lol.. I still have things in the boot of the car I can't get out till people have gone to bed.. some too big to wrap... I think it will be a late nite for me...

Well, I'm continuing to try to keep my cat, and my two year old out of the tree. I'll make cookies for Santa with my seven year old this afternoon and then wrap the rest of the presents. I am done shopping thank goodness. Your ten year old knows you won't cancel Christmas. Unfortunately, there's not too much you can do unless you want to use the standard punishment...but it's Christmas eve.

I will be cleaning the house and cleaning up my hard drive. I might also go and see my boyfriend but i'm afraid his mum will try and drag me to church!

hehe, the joy of not having my family close by, they can't make me feel guilty for not going to church. But I will be watching midnight mass on ABC... It will take that long to make sure miss 10 is asleep, and not playing possum.

i think we will be going around to friends and familys houses to give them presents and have a drink with them, then we will be putting all the present under the tree for thee kids :D:D
