the sound of music

yeah! love this movie! the best classic musical film ever =) when I was in highschool, we had a musical play of the sound of music and i played the role of the third child, "luisa", and i loved my role! =) we were like actually in the movie! it was an awesome and funny experience coz' during our rehearsals, we just kept on laughing and laughing coz' of our mistakes and funny moments, hehe..

haha it was really a fun movie isn't it?? i loved the soundtrack... how the family stick together and go through their troubled times.

my favorite von trap, wow, that's hard. they all were important in different ways but i love how the father started out as a mean and tough father but let his guard down and was very loving.

I LOVE the Sound of Music. I went to a few places in Europe where the movie was filmed in 2005, which was exciting. For some reason, Brigitta (Angela Carter) was my favourite Von Trapp. I've been listening to a cast recording from the stage show a lot lately actually :)

My favorite Von Trapp is Maria of course! lol She's the best! I love Julie Andrews in this role...I have watched this movie so often I know all the words to all the songs and I know practically all the dialog especially Maria's lines! I used to watch a lot with my nieces at one point, or with a friend who used to want me to put it on every time she came over...I got hooked so I never minded how often she came over to ask to watch! And if she didn't come over, I'd put it in anyway. lol I own the movie on VHS and now also on DVD. I am aiming to own the recently released special 40th anniversary edition...soon!

My favorite Von Trapp was always Liesel when I was a kid- I guess I looked up to her because she was older. I remember watching the Sound of Music many times on TV growing up. But, now that I am older, my favorite characters are the nuns. They trashed those Nazi's cars! How punk rock is that! My favorite song from the movie is Adel Weiss, espescially the version with Liesel singing with her father.
