Ok, it's Christmas Eve. What are your favorite Christmas memories? Do you have a special Chritmas that you always think of each year? What made this year so special? Was it a gift? Or something else?
I always think back to one of the first Christmas' after my husband and I got married. It was our second Christmas together and I had just learned I was pregnant with our first child.
Love to hear yours!

My favorite Christmas was every year from the time I can remember until in my 20's. We would all pile in the car and go to my Grandmother's house for the day! My Dad had a large family....6 Siblings, all the spouses and grands. Everyone brought a dish and we all ate at a huge dining table. The kids had to eat on the screened in porch. That was our SPECIAL PLACE. The aromatic smell of Turkey and Dressing, and all the trimmings filled the house. The best part of the day was sitting and talking with my Grandmother, and of course all the cousins playing or telling ghost stories after dark.......THOSE WERE THE GOOD OLE DAYS!!!

Right now, my favorite memories are of the whole family going to my grandparents early on Christmas day... spending the whole day opening gifts, eating, and someone always pretending to be Santa although we all knew it wasn't Santa :) Then we'd all spend the night, and wake up to a big breakfast! It's been awhile since anyone's spent the night anywhere after a holiday because the families been getting bigger.
I'm guessing next Christmas will be a memorable one since I'll be married and living somewhere else by then :)

Yep, favorite gifts when you are little are always fun! One of my favorite when growing up was the Creepy Crawler set. I loved making bugs and lizzards and placing them for the housekeeper. hehe She always screamed and told my mother on me. Too funny!
