Blood Diamonds.
If u known then what u know now, would u still by diamonds and support the companys who has a trade with foreign countries like Africa where blood is on their hands?

I knew about them when I got married 12 years ago, so I requested that my husband not get me a diamond engagement ring. Diamonds only became popular in the West after the second world war, and diamond companies managed to dupe us all into thinking that a diamond was somehow a mandatory part of the marriage process.
It's possible to buy synthetic diamonds now, so I don't have a problem with people wearing those, but I kind of like my plain ring.
