No, do not starve yourself, it doesn't work and is not good for you. I never do that. Just cut out the snacks and sugars. Intake on water. That will start you off.

I never starve myself. I just cut back on what I normally eat. Basicaly I eat like a bird and I walk on the treadmill and do sit ups. I have lost 50 pounds so far. I have atleast another 70 pounds to go. The slower you lose it the better it is that way you won't put it all back on.

i want to lose weight of course but im not feeling OC about it. the best advise to lose weight? hapiness and motivation. if you are happy youre hormones would go along with you meaning there are no cravings binging and others. if you are motivated youll be able to create tasks. like exercise and etc. any activity that could help you shed off the bulges and lose some weight. so stay happy and get motivation goodluck!

Successful weight loss requires a three-pronged approach: changing behavior patterns, making dietary adjustments, and increasing physical activity Exercise is a valuable element in a weight loss program, but exercise alone results in only modest weight loss and at a slower rate than calorie restriction. Although combining it with diet results in greater loss of weight and body fat than dieting alone, exercise is especially important for maintaining weight loss. And adding exercise to calorie restriction makes the dietary changes easier because they need not be as drastic. It is easy to see why this is so. To lose 1 pound per week requires a deficit of about 500 calories a day. By adding a half hour of moderate to vigorous exercise per day (enough to burn 250 calories), you reduce the dietary restriction to a more manageable 250 calories per day.

The most basic answer is to consume less calories than you burn. If you are talking about dieting, then definitely go low-carb. Carbs are the bad guys.

The main thing I do to loose weight is walk. Sometimes I do a little exercise and also play badminton. But walking is easy as you can do it during the normal course of the day. You can walk fair distances without using any transport. I also go for swimming once a week.

When to Start Dieting? This one is for women: Never start a diet one week before your period. The hormonal imbalances will drive you nuts, will make you frustrated, and the water retained in your body will make appear as if you haven't shed a pound. Actually, you will look as if you took pounds. So spare yourself! The best moment to start a diet is two days after your period has started, when your cravings subdue and your body starts eliminating the retained water. It's better not only from a psychological point of view, but also from a physiological one. So, girls, did you know that the body retains up to 1 liter of water before and during your period? Keep that in mind next time you are complaining that you cannot lose weight. Personally, I retain even more sometimes. Anyway, I started this new way of eating. My friend lost 20 pounds almost following it in the US, and if she could do it there, I can do it here! The basic principles are the ones I have mentioned already. 5-6 meals a day and two or three more substantial. Never eat until you are full, just until you are not hungry anymore. Take out sugar so your insulin is not high and stopping you from losing weight. My daily intake varies from 1,200 calories to 1,500 calories. I don't think that going under this is helpful or healthy. In the morning I'm having a Diet Cereal Bar and half a glass of yogurt. Two-three hours later I have lunch (for example today I had three small pieces of chicken nuggets and 3 large spoons of eggplants and yogurt salad). Then I had one Diet (with fructose instead of sugar) fruit cheesy yogurt. Then I had dinner - other 3 pieces of nuggets, one egg, and lots of lettuce - and then one more fruity cheesy yogurt. I could have added more, but I feel ok. I am not hungry. I could use some fruits though.

The best way to lose weight is to excercise and diet. You need to create a calorie deficit meaning you should burn more calories than you put in your body. Never ever try to starve yourself because it'll cause you to gain more weight. When you starve yourself, your body goes into survival mode and your cells tend to hold whatever sugar you put in and thus you don't lose weight and even gain weight. The first few days of doing starvation diet, you lose pounds. But the thing is you don't lose body fat, you only lose water or fluid and valuable electrolytes in your body.
