Global Warming! Is it real?

Everyday I turn on the news, I go to school, I read the newspaper, read a book, go on the computer...Everywhere global warming is mentioned in one form or another. Dont get me wrong, there have been alot of facts on this topic, and I am well informed. I recently saw 'An Inconvenient Truth', and it got me thinking. What if it is real? All these things suggest it is, but I am not feeling any warmer. I cant feel any changes.
Is this just another media hype? An overexagerated story, or is it happening right here right now? Please, what are your oppinions on this issue? is it something we should be focused on, is it something we should look at? Should we be putting money into this instead of world hunger?

No, it is not a media hype or a joke. It is real fact, even though we cant feel that effect personally. Pollution is increasing rapidly, number of vehicles is contributing at large. Trees have been cut down to make our cites modern, factories are polluting sea water. If something serious is not done, then it will change our lives definitely

global warming is caused by carbon dioxide mainly. it absorbs da heat n does not let it escape. ice caps are melting at a high rate n many coastal region cities are in extreme danger as flood. methane is responsible for this effect by only 30%.

Y a friend it is true that global warming is going on.i think you should know this that global warming is increacing because of gas like CFC(cloroflorocarbon),used in refrigirator.Yes its true worl tempreature is increasing and it will increase if no step will be taken.Its is said that till 2100 the temprature will rise upto 5.8 to 1.4 every country.Be careful its true.We should do some thing to protect ourself

Global warming is real.If we goes on doing like this global warming will occur.It means that great disaster will occur to our world .global warming means effecting the NATURE very much.It happens mainly due to automobiles releasing pollution,Industries realsing chemicals which is harmful to fossilsand faruna.Mainly depliting the OZONE layer causes the global warming

yes, its for real. havent u noticed how "abnormal" present weather is? in some countries, there's so much rain during the summer season and very humid and dry nights/days when its supposed to be raining hard.

Could you please give an example? Natural disasters have happened an aweful lot more this year, but honestly, I think its just a matter of luck. One year we might get no hurricanes, and another half the world might be hit by them. Please, give an example of this 'abnormal weather'

I dont agree with your statement, I think the oppsoite is quite true its being underestimated. At the rate at which this is happening there will be some serious repecussions in the near future. We have to consider this is extremely IMPORTANT.
Sadly the industrialised countries does not take the warning signs seriously! The USA is the biggest culprit in this regard!

if global warming didn't exist, why is the globe warming up at a rate that is very scary, and liable to melt the Arctic and Antarctic areas within teh next 100 years, cause the diluting of the gulf stream, which would then cause warm water to not reach England, causing them to cool down, and recieve snow nearly every day, cause permafrost to appear in places as far south as Paris, France, North Carolina in the US, and places in South America and Australia that only see snow maybe 10-15 days a year?
because this could be the case by 2050.

That is a real issue,not kidding.Actually in Hong Kong,winter time should be quite cold, around 10-15 celsius, now it can be as hot as 20 celsius. The cause of global warming is those developed and developing countries consuming a lot of natural resources like oil ,natural gas for burning fuel,it produce a lot of toxic gases and also a lot of carbon dioxide that absorb heat.Tress and forest
area is getting less and less.That's also one of the problem causing global warming. We should take action immediately!
Use less private car, take a ride in public transportation, use non cfc products!
Stop burning oil and don't harm the environment!

I believe in global warming to a degree. We really need to take care of our natural resources, rather than using them up. There is a natural turn of events when the weather is considered. The reason the farmers almanac can predict weather and crops in the future is that there are natural warmings and coolings of the earth that occur in regular patterns. There are natural warming trends and cooling trends that the earth goes through whether or not we are warming the earth. How much of what is going on is natural, and how much is self inflicted is hard to say. We need to be careful, but we can't stop the natural warming and cooling from happening, even if we want to.

I say that we should trust the scientists and learn more about the subject but I defintiely think that it's more real than we care to know. I have to see An Inconvenient Truth yet, but I think that we should all start to learn more about how we can prevent global warming

I believe it's happening. Did you see "the Day After Tomorrow"? Well that is happening in slow motion. Over here we get only winter and summer, no spring and fall anymore. Something isn't right!

we don't get snow up here in england anymore because of global warming.
