How would you change the world to make the common citizen's life easier?

The biggest way I feel that the world could be changed is by providing quality medical care to every person on the planet. It blows me away that medical systems in many country not all are saying that they do not make money. Our insurance systems need to be looked at here in the USA I know. It cost our family over $600.00 a month for below average coverage. I feel it is everyone's right to have medical treatment with out finanical cost hanging over head. The drug companies make billions and most people just can not afford to even see the doctor. The medicaid system in America only help those with no or little income, while my husband works hard everyday and we are just $250.00 outside of the income limit to get medicaid for our girls so we pay through the nose. I just do not get it but I feel it would make all of our lives easier if we made sure each and every person had risk free access to medical treatment.

thats a hard one to decide the first thing that came to mind was remove the need for money (everything free) then when thinking about it more this would make bigger problems if everything was free no one would need to work resulting in no food electric gas ect so then i though remove the idea of upper lower class rich and poor give everyone the same amount of money (say 1 million ) but this would result in the same as above (i will have to keep thinking about this one we have free medical care here in the uk (i wont say quality medical care as most would disagree) i would say it dose make life a little easyer as we dont have to worry about earning enoth to cover us if we get ill

I understand what you are saying that all things can not be free. Our ability to earn a living gives us our independence from goverment. I certainly would not like a communist society for me personal but the fact is we should all have the right to be treated when we are sick no matter how fat our bank account is. The issues are wide as to how to solve the problems of society but I feel golbal health care is the first step in doing so. If we did not worry out our heatlh and the cost of health insurance in the US I feel society here would be more productive in other areas of education and poverty on a global level. I am glad that in countries like the UK and Canada have made the step to provide healthcare to its citizens. Thanks for the feedback.

One thing that I would do would be to train people to work from home. Especially those with special needs such as the homebound or the single parent. Whether they like to write, craft, or be on the internet, there is alot of work that can be done by the telecommuter. I would encourage companies to open up some of their work to the independent contractor and I would train them extremely well. The rest would be up to them.

It is a sad fact that this is happening in this so called modern world we live in. I feel we all should be more vocal on this issue.

i m in total agreement with u. In the country i live, its very difficult to even get the basic amenities for some of the poverty stricken people. people die here of hunger n climate, Left alone the medicines. yes, one should have a basic policy for the medicinal purpose, but atleast first we should try and control poverty. for as it is poverty is anonymous to equality and its ones right as a human to get equality

We cannot change the world I think. :) it had no problems until evolution let us take it over. we can at most change the society by changing the way its citizens think. attitude and mental approach is everything, unless the people take upon themselves the responsibility of thinking and doing right it would be a bit tough. that would certainly change the world for the better and forever.

For one stop making people that have so much money they don't what to with it from making even more money for doing nothing. We should also treat the world like it is one big country and help everybody instead of seeing kids on tv in africa actually do allot more for them. There are so many things that could change.

Get people to understand that they can in fact have a happier life in their homelands by simply learning to make the most out of whatever resources their nation offers and stop looking at the "greener pasture" (which often is not that greener) across the street.

If all citezens focus on their own works. All complexities are due to one man taking the responsibilities of many man and taking the result of the work done by many man. All want to rule the world with money and power resulting from money, and with their supportier army. Thanks lovein

well if i ever get a chance to make life of a common citizen easier...the main thing i will do is to educate as many illetrate people as i can...because in my country the main obstacle in our progress is the literacy rate ...our country (Pakistan) has great man power but unluckily most of them are not educated..this is not because they dont want to get education ..but because of the reason that our Government is not paying attention towards this issue!

I would change the world by starting with myself and my family. Be a good person and raw model to everyone around us. Extend help to your neighbors. If there are any information and services I can offer for free I will do it, I never ask them to return the favor but ask them to do the same in every person that needs help. It's a chain reaction, you do good to others and they will do good to others and this will be a better world.

I agree that ones actions show the true character of a person. If we all treated others as we would want to be treated it would make a change in the world.

See I find this so hard to believe but I guess its because we have really good health care here in Canada and Ive never had to deal with anything like you have there. Your right better medical attention for everyone would be nice but I think if taxes where wiped out, it would help people out more with living comfortable.

You are so right. It's horrible when you look on the news and see little kids dieing for simple vaccines in third world countries. I think one of the major problems we in the U.S. have is health insurance. I wish we would implement a better system. I think maybe if we had a choice in insurance selection with some tax credit it might be cheaper. The employer makes the choice as to what plan we can have, and I think they receive a tax advantage for that. If you are unemploy, you have no coverage. I cringe every time I think of healthcare cost.

It always seems very odd to me that America .. supposedly one of the most affluent countries in the world doesn't even have basic medical care for it's citizens unless they pay for it ... The UK is one of the smaller countries in the world yet we have a very good FREE National Health Service that will get you pretty much all the health care you need from cradle to grave ... I suppose we do still 'pay' for it ... but the payment is made through employment Income Tax based on earnings .. maybe America should look to changing the way medical cover is paid for and give everyone a fair share of health cover
