I have been so burried with all my responses lately, I have fallen so behind in answering a lot of your posts. I so do love yours. They are always so great. I'm enjoying them tonight. Keep up the good work honey.

Thank you Margieanne. I have been trying to comment on my discussions and it took me nearly 4 hours yesterday to go through the ones I managed to get done. It is time consuming, but needs to be done. When people are kind enough to respond to a discussion, I feel that I need to comment or rate the response. If the discussion has had many responses, I don't always comment on all of them, but will make sure that they have a positive rating if they so deserve one. Huggers to you!

How is the 50% less fat cheese? I have been contemplating purchasing it.

I get the Cabot 50% fat cheese too, with jalapeno. There's a 75%reduced fat cheese too that tastes good. And I have family in Vermont, so I like to buy Cabot to support the local farmers there. I've never heard of cloth covered cheese, unless it's the kind that comes in plastic (which might have fabric in it).

We can buy it at our local Wal Mart now. My husband used to have to pick it up for a friend every time we went back east. It is yummy.

In my town it can be purchased in nearly every store here. I have to get a new can to keep on the shelves in case the grandbabies come. Great for rashes.

OMG, that was a blonde moment if ever I had one. AND I have many! I meant that you can buy the cheese in any store....the voices in my head were making a mental note of picking up a can of bag balm as I gave my last can away. Grrrr. I wish the voices would leave me alone!

This is a prime example of why Mylot needs to let us edit our text once it is posted.

I live in Sherbrooke, QC. I know Cabot Cheese and I just love it. It totally deserves its awards.

Is that like the "World Series" for cheeses (i.e. is it an American-based award even though it has "world" in the title)? I've never heard of that type of cheese, or that award (and I'm an afficionado of the heavenly stuff), so I think we probably have a different award system in Europe. Of course I'm probably rather biased and a bit of a snob about it, but in my not-so-humble opinion, a cheddar can't be called a cheddar unless it was made in the UK from British cows. And we make the best cheeses in the world in the UK (hell, we invented Cheddar, and have heaps more experience making it and rolling it down hills than any other country!) although the French folks across the water aren't too bad at making it I suppose! Keep up the good work promoting cheese though, and if you get the chance, try one which was made in England! :-)

We're all cheese lovers at our house. We like cheese in so many different foods as well as by itself. Cheddar is one of our favorites. Thanks for the link

The best cheddar is the old cheddars. I love a cheese that bites you back.
