I can't believe they did it so quickly. They just said 2 days ago that it would be within the next 30 days and would not tell the media when. They also said they plan to video it and now here it is 2 days later and they did it. The Iraqi's do not play around. I think I am shocked that it was done. How do you feel?

I am glad they did it. I hope it was taped. I am surprised they shot him instead of hanging him (or at least the newcaster said they shot him instead).

That's the end of one era. But i'm not sure whether he is deserved. What does it means to the arabic worls or the whole world?

Yeah I am afraid this could cause a lot more problems for the whole world. The ones that supported him will stop at nothing now. We will never be able to pull out of Iraq now.

I knew they said they were going to. I guess I thought they wouldn't really do it. I ams so used to things taking years and years, it came as a shock.

Yes I knew they said they would too, but living in the US and seeing how things like this is never carried out for many years it came as a complete shock to me too!

I am amazed that it was done so soon. But then if they didn't wait, the chances of someone trying to break him out would be less. I have heard people say that he should have stayed in prison for life. But I don't agree. He killed so many people, why give him the chance to keep terrorizing people through his court irruptions, pictures, etc... In addition, the money that is needed to keep him locked up is money that Iraq could put to a much better use.

Yeah I never thought about the extra money it would take to keep him in prison.

they should have done it 12 months ago that would have saved a lot of bloodshed.

I believe in Karma, so much the better that he finally got what was due to him. I would dare to say he will have troubles at the pearly gates. I'm sure he will not be ascending........

Well I sort of think it would have been better to make him suffer a little more and think about what he had done and maybe get secret information theat I think went with him...I think it would have been better to give him life in prison with hard labour.... he is at peace now probably in a better place and we are all here with the mess he has helped to create......

Yes I agree! He should have had life in prison, but then there would always be that chance of someone springing him loose. There would always be upheavels too. but to hang him so quickly!

Although he deserved to die, I personally would have liked for him to be whisked away to an unknown destination, never to be heard from again, and rot away in a dark hidden corner. He has alot of stupid followers who have no fear or love in their hearts (except for themselves), and they may seek revenge on everyone. But if this is what the Iraqi people would prefer, after all, they are the ones who have endured his torture and lived in fear for years, then so be it.

Well said! I would have liked to have seen him have to face the ones he hurt and live with the guilt of what he did. He is now gone and it does not seem like sweet justcie to me. But you are right his people are the ones who ordered the excution.

he is a dangerous guy so it's just right that they executed him. if they had not done and if they just sentenced him to life sentenced and sent him to a secluded and well guarded place there will be a lot of terrorists who will plan to rescue and free him. and once he is free again it will be a disaster. so i agree in hi execution.

I think that it is the end of a nightmare and the start of another one therefore I believe that the Arabs do not go to leave so cheap thus. I only wait that the war finishes in peace and that everything finishes fastest possible.

yeh quite amazing i thought it takes like 20+ years to execute some one. like they did with Tookie Williams in America.
