This is a pretty old discussion so yiou probably don't have any response but I think that if anything untoward occurs just previous to December 21st, a comet flying by, any strange lighjts in the sky or solar flares, people are going to panic, break, and then break out and start acting crazy. All of the people who either have chosen not to prepare themselves for this day, and the ostrich people with their heads buried so deep in the sand that they haven't heard a thing about it are going to panic, there will be pandemonium in the streets, hoarding, rioting, and civil unrest in last minute preparation for catastrophe. I assure you the world will be hunkered down, braced, and watching, waiting. All except for the ostrich people that is who wander through life blissfully unaware that the solid earth beneath our feet is spinning trough space at thousands of miles per hour, and there are all kinds of rogue objects out there that could be spinning our way.

Today is 16th of June 2012, so far nothing happened, there were several predictions in the past, they never came true, well we will be slowly killing ourselves by playing with the environment.. well if it is going to end, can we stop it? Professor

Not sure, but many people believe that the world will end on the day. If it does, just hope you are amung the spectators.

2038 is year of higher probability of the world ending as the computers all around the world would crash on that day...
