I have a 5 month old son, and the most rewarding moment for me would be when he laughed for the first time. It was just the cutest thing in the world! Please share the most rewarding moment you've had with your child(ren).

i'm not sure what is the most rewarding one, there are so many to choose from. i think that the fact that my daughter knows to go to the time out chair when she feels a fit comming on. she'll go on her own to calm down and i think that's rewarding to me becuase i know i've taught her well and she won't be an angry kid and will know what to do when she is mad or upset.

I find that each and every day is a rewarding day with my kids and amzing that they allow me to be part of there lifes . but the most amazing thing to me as a father is when I cut the cord and held them for the first time .

Well, there is so many to pick from, but I would have to say the first time he ever smiled. He just melted my heart. I knew that from then on I could never stay upset with him. Even now, when I am getting stressed out het just flashes me that smile and I feel 100% better.

My son is the same way. I'll get so upset with him and he just looks at me and just smiles. It's amazing how you can go from angry to "melt your heart" in such a short amount of time! :)

With children there are so many things that are rewarding, I have 3 children of my own and a step daughter. I would have to say my most recent rewarding moment was yesterday when I found out that my son has been accepted into a college, before that was in December when my oldest daughter graduated from College (a 4 year degree in 3 and 1/2 years). I am so proud of all my children, and our lives are full of rewarding moments, the older they get, the more you have...as parents we should write them down, but with kids who really has the time to do that. Enjoy every moment your children are little, they don't stay that way for long.

I have four children. I would have to say with all of them the most rewarding moment would be the very first time they looked at me and smiled. That just made me feel so wonderful all over. I will always remember that. I thought they had the most beautiful smile in the whole world.

I am a mother of a six year old girl and a two year old boy. You think you could pick just one moment in either of their lives but you can't. Each time you choose one they do something incredible to make it your new rewarding moment. Everything they do is rewarding to me an my life!

I have two children in school and the rewarding moment for me is walking them in to school on the first day and knowing that their future is open to them and I am no longer the sole means of their education anymore.

My son is 7 months old, so I'm sure there will be plenty more rewarding moments to record as time goes by, but for now: The first time he said "Mommy" was lovely. I grew up calling my mother by her first name most of my life (I didn't often live with her and we weren't close) so "Mommy" seemed extra sacred to me in that I was giving my son something I didn't have myself. He had been crying, and my husband was trying to get him to calm down, but he looked right at me, held out his arms and said "Mommy". *melts*
