How did you meet your spouse/significant other?

We'll I am alittle embarrassed the way I met my husband. I was teaching electronics in a private college. The first day I walked into class I saw him and I said wow. But teachers are not supposed to have relationships with their students. Anyways, I had to find a babysitter for my 3 kids. It turned out that her husband was best friends with this guy. Know I was seeing him everywhere. Anyway he felt the same way about me and we ended up breaking the rules. I went to my bosses right away and explained what happeded. I thought I was going to be fired. They did not fire me because I was well liked by the staff and students. We had to keep our relationship very low key until he finished his course. He didn't do any better because I was the teacher either. He was not good at math and I would fail him just like any other student. He had to get a peer tutor. I was so glad when the pressure was off and we could "offically" start seeing each other. Anyways we have been together 12 years and married for over 6. Oh just for the record he is 44 and I am 42.

I met my husband when I was working at the mall. He was working security and I had just gotten back from a trip and had to work that day. I was tired and he pulled up and asked how are you. I thought he said how old are you because back then I looked younger than what I really was. After that day we were friends for 2 months and then started dating and stayed together since that day.

My oldest brother and my husbands older sister dated back in the 80's. Actually they were engaged. My husband and I were just kids, he 12 and I 11. Well our siblings thought it would be cute if we met and maybe became sweet hearts. Well we met, but we were far from sweet hearts. We did become freinds and went to school together and stayed in touch. Then when I was 25 I told him I had fallen in love with him when I was 19 and I couldn't keep it to myself any longer. He felt the same and it just grew from there. Now we have been married for 11 years, and we have 2 wonderful girls together.

Such sweet ways people met here(except 2 of them :P) My way was so simple, a lot of couples meet this way, except some don't last. Anyways, my fiance and I met through a telephone dating line. We will have been together 2 years in April. Not many success stories come out of those phone services, but ours is one of the few.

My husband and I had met once or twice before, as he was working at the Movie store in the local mall. I thought he was cute but would have no interest in me. He thought IU was cute too apparently. Anyway, one day I was wasting time at the mall and passed by the store. I saw him and though "Ah, cool, the cute one is there" and went in, asking about a specific movie. They didn't have the movie (it was on moratorium at the time), but he and I got to talking. He asked me out for coffee that night and we have been together ever since. It will be 10 years together this February.

i met my boyfriend through a common friend. she gave our numbers to each other and started texting for a day only. we decided to meet the next day. we nearly not met at all because both our cellphones won't turn on when we were already in the mall where we decided to meet. we didn't know how each other looked like and what each other was wearing but i think we are really destined for each other. out of desperation, i decided to asked the people in that mall if he was my date. and you know what? the first person iasked.. that's him. we never let each other go from that day on. we have been together only for a year and a month now but i know that it would stay that way for the rest of our lives.

Cute Story! We met in on February 14th, 1992. I didn't want to go out because it was Valentines Day and I didn't have a boyfriend. My friends pretty much forced me and we ended up at a bar we had never went to. There was my future husband who asked me to dance and we spent the night talking. The next day he called and we have been together every day since then. We got married September 25, 1993 and have had a wonderful life so far. We definitely are soul mates.

My friend introduced him to me.At first i didnt like him.But later on when we both were working together,I started liking him.Then he changed the company.But even after that we became very close to each other.Now he is moving far away from me.Dont know whether I will meet him in the future or not.Really it is bothering me a lot.

Way back in 1982, I had a dream in which I saw the likeness of my wife. Next year ie November 1983, I got married to her. This matter is still a secret and my wife has not been told. My wife is as simple as a dove, calm and composed without even a iota of ill-will, no guilt and most devout. I wish everyone such a wife or husband. Not like some greedy demons who ill-treat their spouses for their own selfish ends. Let the New Year carry the message of Peace for everyone in your families.

thats cute. I hope everything worked out for you. while me and my husband are going through a tough time right now this made me think of how I met him. I had been going through some "things" and my cousin came to visit from out of state, her husband brough his friend with him, while we just exchanged hellows we met aganin 1 1/2 years later when I relocated to where my cousin lived. It has been 6 years and as I said we are going through a tough time but I do love him so much and maybe I should think more about when we did first meet. It might make me remember why I love him the way I do. thank you for posting this.

I met my fiance as a gift for being 10 minutes early to the grocery store.he was known to me earlier.but we were not familiar.He had a smug on his face.He was not ready to look.Then I thought he was arrogant.But lately I discovered that he also thought I was arrogant.

Awww how romantic. Well someone introduced my husband and I together, so we have been together for almost 10 years and married for almost 8! Not bad.
