Hello, I hope I can help! Try cutting down on fatting foods, overly spicy foods, drinks that contain caffine, drinking & smoking. All these are major causes of heartburn and acid reflux. The remedy that I use is drink alot of water, at room temperture and add a little bit of lemon every time. Hope this helps.

Magnesium works wonders for heartburn. I know my dad pops those tums a lot. That Osteoprocare has worked wonders for me and my bestfriend. I'm cautious on herbs. Usually they taste nasty and you never know what other kind of effects it will have on the body... may through it out of balance. i'm sure ginger is safe.. but all that other exotic herbs, be careful at least osteo comes with a 45 day money back guarantee. wish you luck... i know how uncomfortable and down right painful that can be at times.

I also get heartburns and I try to eat some bananas if not drink milk. If that doesn't help I really need to take antacids like Tums or it'll really compromise my day. Imagine being in a traffic jam with heartburn? Your upper abs near the rib cage area hurts and you find it hard to breathe and in some days when my heartburn really has too much acid my body starts to tremor. My gastro said that's a normal reaction it's like having a panic attack, tremors, dizziness and difficulty breathing.
